Based on a general conceptual framework we can explain your likes and dislikes regarding certain work procedures and approaches and build up more successful international work teams.

Remote and virtual teams present additional management challenges and dilemmas. They have to be managed over barriers like distance, culture, time zones and technology. We need to look at ways to improve connections and at best practices in selecting the right technologies for communicating effectively.

Project Management for Multicultural and Multisite Teams

Virtual Team Management

In our various workshops, we have come across similar communication problems and challenges no matter which cultures or personalities are involved. Therefore we designed an Open course which addresses specifically the problems of multicultural, virtual teams.

Virtual teams may see situations in a different way, understand and interpret them in different ways and hence act in different ways. Stress levels increase with multicultural teams more frequently disagreeing implicitly and explicitly on expectations, relevant information, and the need for particular decisions. Diversity increases the ambiguity, complexity and inherent confusion in the team's process. Communication inaccuracies and lack of trust lead to misunderstanding and decreased effectiveness. Team leaders must learn to integrate the team's diversity if the team is to function productively.

Course objectives:
• Learn to appreciate people who are different from you and understand the value of other people's contribution
• Learn to communicate effectively in order to build productive relationships
• Learn to optimise technology
• Develop common vision, goals and best practices to meet the needs of both parties

Through short presentations, discussion, interactive role-play, experiential learning and activities for immediate application at work, this workshop will help individuals understand and improve their ability to work and communicate through virtual channels. A workbook provides guidelines, checklists and exercises as well as real case studies based on the experience of the participants.

We in InterConnect believe that the most successful learning experiences are achieved through experiential events. Participants will learn best to be facilitators by being facilitators in the workshop. Over the years that we have run trainings, coached senior managers and facilitated workshops and other team-events, we have found that the participants themselves have most of the knowledge and skills that they need - we are there to set up a trusting environment, use real-life exercises, and facilitate learning.

Feedback and debrief will be given by using video sessions. Catering for all learning styles we include visual and written material with practical tips and checklists.

High Performance Team Workshop

High Performance Team (HPT)/Leadership Program

The High Performance Team (HPT)/Leadership program is designed to support the Management Teams and other teams to evolve rapidly into an HPT with the aim and benefit of creating a culture of Continuous Improvement together with a cooperative and supportive Leadership style.

Number and duration of modules
The program is divided into 3 modules – 1 day Kick-off (Getting to know each other and the program), 2 days Module 1 (Understanding Self and Team), and 2 days Module 2 (Leadership Development). Each module has pre-work, and we plan a follow up after the end of Module 2.

Key content - Structure and design of the Modules:
The design is very interactive, few slides, plenty of exercises, debriefs and discussion, time for reflection and flexible with plenty of feedback possibilities.
